Launderometer

The “METLOR” Launderometer consists of a digitally controlled, electrically heated double walled water bath. The inside walls of the bath are made of Al Stainless steel the outside walls are made of mild CRCA sheet duly enameled. The bath is heated by means of heaters. The temperature controller controls the temperature of the water inside the bath. The temperature is indicated on a digital indicator. The bath has a double walled hinged lit made of stainless steel sheet. The jars, in which the test solution and specimens are kept during the test, are made from stainless steel. Moreover, they are provided with rubber seals for watertight closing. They are held in a stainless steel rotor assembly mounted on a stainless steel shaft at the center of the bath and rotating about a horizontal axis with the help of an electric motor and worm reduction gear box.A clockwise time is also provided to stop the motor after any pre-determined time. The apparatus is fabricated on an iron frame and is completely enclosed on all four sides with mild sheet duly enameled in dark gray hammer tone painting. The top of the apparatus is covered with stainless steel sheet. One hundred stainless steel balls of 6mm diameter are supplied with the apparatus as a standard accessory for providing beating action during the washing operation, extra steel balls and standard gray scales are available as optional accessory.A built-in preheating bath for pre-heating the test solution is also offered as an optional accessory, this bath is mounted in the same form with provision to keep the jars in place. This bath also has double walled construction, with the inner chamber made of aluminum sheet, the outer chamber made of mild steel sheet, and mineral wool insulation between the town walls. The bath is heated the help of an electric immersion heater and its temperature controlled by a capillary type thermostat. These baths also have a double walled tip of stainless steel sheet.
